Welcome To Elim Rehab & Care Center!
Elim Rehab & Care Center, Fargo is a 136 bed facility, providing 24-hour nursing care by licensed nursing staff who are trained for most sub-acute needs (i.e. tube feedings, IVs). Residents are each assigned a primary caregiver, which allows the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to be familiar with the residents routine and build a relationship of trust.
Eden Alternative
Elim Care Center's commitment to improving our residents' quality of life has resulted in implementation of the innovative and award winning, Eden Alternative. This new program uses God's creation as its model living environment, understanding that a true "human habitat" is filled with biological diversity and harmony.
Elim Care Center's "human habitat" is characterized by:
- Children - Elim Children's Center, located within Elim Care Center, is an intergenerational daycare/preschool.
- Animals - Dogs, cats, rabbits and birds live at Elim Care Center too.
- Plants - Gardens inside and out are the norm.
Caring for plants and watching them grow is fun for all - residents, children and staff alike. The Eden Alternative allow residents at Elim Care Center to revel and thrive in fresh ways amidst the presence of our children, animals and plants.
Rehabilitative Therapies
Physical and occupational therapy is provided for residents by physicians orders. Therapy services are offered as often as twice per day. Speech therapy is also provided as needed. Therapy staff work together as a team to help each resident reach the highest possible level of independence, whether the residents goal is to return home or continue their stay at Elim Care Center.
Recreation Programming
The Recreational Services Department provides a variety of activities which may include: exercise, rhythm band, sing-a-longs, support groups, current events, etc. Special groups are also brought into the facility to provide entertainment. The Recreational Services Department strives, through its programming, to enhance the quality of life for each resident and to foster healthy relationships among the residents.
Dietary Services
Goals are to promote optimum nutritional status in accordance with physicians orders and consistent with the residents individual needs. Menus are planned with the residents food choices and preferences in mind. Alternative items are always available.
Financial Services
The Business Office Manager assesses each residents finances with the resident and family at the time of admission and assists throughout the residents stay. Financial counseling is provided as needed (i.e. Medicare, Medicaid).
Chaplaincy Program
Spiritual emphasis at Elim Care Center is coordinated under the direction of the Chaplain who conducts non-denominational services throughout the week. Churches within the community also provide additional services. The Chaplain is available 24 hours a day to both residents and family members for individual counseling.
Social Services
Staffed with full-time, licensed Social Workers, this Department strives to assist residents and their family members in meeting their personal, social, emotional, and environmental needs. The Social Worker also acts as a residents advocate, to ensure that high quality care is given to each resident.
Volunteer Services
Elim Care Centers volunteers are special people who give their talent and "hearts" to make life for our residents better and brighter. Volunteers help with such activities as one to one visits, reading to residents, writing letters for them, taking residents for walks and assisting the Recreational Department with their activities for residents.
